Don Egidio with his off the track thoroughbred Gold Deputy

There’s a great story by Susan Salk for today, about how a husband who was unhappy in his career as an IT professional found his life transformed when he was ‘chosen’ by a horse originally purchased for his young sons.

Talking about her husband’s tranformation, Christine Egidio is quoted as saying:

“My husband was miserable as an IT person, but as soon as we got Gold Deputy, everything changed. The next thing I knew, he was watching (natural horsemanship specials) on TV and saying, ‘I could do that.’ ”

From an unhappy horse husband, to a student of equine science with a winning record in western pleasure classes, the story of Don Egidio will inspire you to put down your laptop and pick up a lead rope.
